Today was the day and fourteen students from The Duchess Community High School headed out to Higham Lake, near Ponteland for their first real fishing experience.

South Linden Fishing Lakes |
|
Yesterday I headed off to South Linden Fishing Lakes with my Dad and boyfriend. The Lakes are a fifteen mintute car ride from Alnwick in Northumberland and have been open for around a year. South Linden is host to one worm fishing only lake and one fly fishing lake so you get the best of both worlds! |

Girls Fishing Team |

The Duchess Community High School have created their very own girls fishing team. The team, headed by Lucy Bowden and the schools' youth worker, Sue Forrest was set up to encourage more girls to fish and is now home to twelve members. |

Higham Lake Children's Event |

Yesterday fourty children headed up to Higham Lake where they pursued many outdoor arts including fishing, clay-pigeon shooting, ferreting and watching birds of prey. |
