Macmillian Cancer Campaign |
|
Yesterday I went to Watchwater Fishery, near Dunns in Scotland where I competed in a competition raising money for Macmillian Cancer patients. I competed in a similar competition to this at Markle Lakes last year. |

New Fishery |

A new fishery has just opened in Northumberland! Hazon Lakes at Hampeth near Alnwick opened on the August bank holiday and is home to both rainbow and blue rainbow trout. |

Lucy Bowden re-launches Fishing For Everyone website |
|
Frustrated by being the only girl on the lake while fishing with her father, the then 17 year-old Lucy Bowden originally founded Fishing For Everyone in May 2004 with the express intention of getting more women, and especially girls, actively participating in fishing.
The site attracted immediate interest from places as far apart as Canada and Fiji with everyone agreeing that this was a fantastic opportunity and one not to be wasted. |

Langley Dam Ladies Day |

Today was my first competition of 2004, organised by ELFA it was held at Langley Dam. The competition was designed to encourage more women to participate in fishing and in turn ten women entered. |
