Club Committee
The 2010 Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club Committee has now been elected.

Elections were made via email and at an AGM meeting held at Morpeth Rugby Club, Northumberland on the evening of Thursday 20th August 2009.

Chairman and founder of the Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club, Lucy Bowden said;

“I am very proud of the ladies. Since the Club’s launch in April 2008 we have gone from strength to strength and grown in numbers. The past year has taught me a great many things, one being that you cannot do everything alone! I now feel that I have the right team in place that will take the Club even further. Today we have nearly one hundred ladies in the Club and we are all looking forward to the 2010 fishing season.”

Committee positions are as follows–

Chairman – Lucy Bowden
Vice Chairman – Rebecca Thorpe
Treasurer – Jenny Lindley
Welfare Officer – Sue Hewitson
Official Committee Member – Ann Humble
Official Committee Member - Carmelle Hook
Official Committee Member – Chris Bowden

Lucy Bowden founded the original Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club in April 2008. Lucy has been a Trout angler for over fifteen years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

A Level 1 Qualified Angling Instructor, Lucy is currently working towards taking her Level 2 Certificate. Primarily a Trout angler, Lucy has done Salmon, Grayling, Carp and sea fishing and, as well as standing for Chairman for the Club, Lucy also works as PR and Communications Coordinator at fishing tackle manufacturer, Hardy & Greys Ltd. Lucy also takes part in many voluntary projects including disabled angling days and manages this website.

Rebecca Thorpe is a Qualified Level 2 Angling Instructor. Rebecca is also Chairman for the Salmon and Trout Association in Derbyshire and is a Hardy & Greys Game Academy Member. Rebecca has been a volunteer angling coach for the Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club since its beginning and she works as a full time Dentist. The Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club are proud to have Rebecca as part of their Committee.

Jenny Lindley has been fishing for over two years on both the river and still waters for Trout, Grayling and Salmon. Living very close to the Whiteadder, Jenny is often seen fishing the river with her husband, David who is also a keen angler. Prior to her retirement, Jenny worked as a book-keeper for over ten years and ran her own business. Jenny has vast experience in running non-profit organisations and we welcome her onto the Committee.

Although relatively new to angling, Sue Hewitson is very keen on the sport. A serving Police Sergeant, Sue holds many qualifications including her first aid and CRB certificates. The Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club would like to welcome Sue onto the Committee.

Ann Humble is a very keen angler and has supported the Ladies Fishing Club from day one. Ann has a wealth of experience in organising club events and has been a member of many clubs, including the Cleveland Hunt and Young farmers. Ann was also Girls Activities Chairman for the Northern Are and is involved with the Percy Hunt and the Percy Pony Club.

Chris Bowden is an honoury member of the ladies fishing club. Chris is the only male member of the Club and, with over forty years angling experience Chris is the Club’s most experienced angler. He is a huge asset to the Club.
